Tour Monastery of Hozoviotissa

The Monastery of Hozoviotissa is the second oldest in Greece, built in 1017 and renovated in 1088. It is literally hanging on the cliff side 300 m above the sea. The monastery is an ode (poem) to the Grace of Panagia, known as the Virgin Mary, the patron saint of the island.

Level: Hard, the road goes over high mountains, so you must have a good physical condition. And also, there are many steps up to the monastery

Tour Asfondilitis & Agios Pavlos

First, we visit the authentic agricultural village of Asfondilitis, which retained its character & architectural characteristics. The houses are of dry stone walls and the roofs of wood and earth. It’s a time machine, allowing us to see how people once lived, perfectly adapting to the environment. The village is famous for its mysterious rock carvings and many wells.
After, we visit the charming bay of Agios Pavlos with the island of Nikouria opposite. You get the opportunity to take a swim in the crystal clear water famous for its visibility.

Tour: Aegiali – Asfondilitis – Agios Pavlos – Aegiali

Level: Medium, the most of the road is asphalt and it’s only the road up to Asfondilitis which is a bit step.

Level: Medium, the most of the road is asphalt, and the villages are up in the mountains. To the chapel of Ioannis Chrysostomos it’s gravel road.
